Renegade Hockey Reflection

Today I would give myself  a /55 for effort and participation  in this training because….  

I was able to apply the skills I learnt from others into a game.  I showed how hard I am willing to work to win and to help my peers achieve greatness. 

Skill(s) I  worked on improving was/were…  I improved on my mid-air trapping, trapping, flicking and shooting.  I also practiced my positioning on the ball and teamwork.

Today I helped..  My team, my partner and myself.  I used the skills I learnt to help my team thrive and have better team communication, I helped my partner learn the rules of Renegade Hockey, and I helped myself become a better sportsman and a better team player.  

Someone who helped me learn and how was...  Ethan because he taught me skills I needed to know to excel in the sport he taught me skills I didn't know and how to execute them properly and efficiently.

Our team is starting to…  Be more inclusive.  Everyone is having a go at hitting the ball and we are all having fun and good times.  Which is one of the biggest achievements in a team sport for everyone to work together and have fun while they all do it.

Something I really enjoyed was…  Practicing skills with my partner we both got to show each other our skills and weaknesses.  Playing a game, we played an awesome game against the other team which we all got to show our skills to everyone and have a fun time.  Of Course my team won!.

Resources

Resource refers to all the materials available in our environment which help us to satisfy our needs.  My resource is metal. Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity. Most metals are malleable and ductile and are, in general, denser than the other elemental substances.

Environment 

The Environment is our basic life support system and is composed of living beings, physical surroundings, and climatic conditions. ... The Environment provides us the basic elements air, water, food, and land which are essential for life to flourish on the Earth.  

Sustainability 

Environmental sustainability occurs when natural resources are preserved.  Sustainability is used to create our needs in the present but preserves life for the ongoing generations.

Cystic fibrosis

 

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disorder that causes damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs in the body. Cystic fibrosis affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices. These  fluids are normally thin and slippery.

Cystic fibrosis is a common genetic disease within the white population in the United States. The disease occurs in 1 in 2,500 to 3,500 white newborns. Cystic fibrosis is less common in other ethnic groups, affecting about 1 in 17,000 African Americans and 1 in 31,000 Asian Americans. The normal age of people who are diagnosed of cystic fibrosis is 6-8 months; two thirds of patients are diagnosed by 1 year of age. 

CF is not just a lung disease. A lot of people think CF is like asthma. CF affects more than the lungs. It affects the reproductive system, the kidneys, the liver, and the digestive system.

Leadership and Government

The topic we researched was leadership and government and it is about our government and how important it is. It is important because of leadership. Leadership is putting everyone in front of having a say and a voice with the government, which is a heap of officials who lead their country or area. Do all of these concepts relate to the topic? Yes because these are related to leadership and law. 

How would I link this topic to outside factors? New Zealand government, our government is what keeps us in place and leads our country.  How did this topic challenge my thinking? It challenged my mental ability because of how much information. How will this research project become an action plan of change? My project could help our country and town as a whole so we can become a better community.

 2 weeks ago we tested to see how long it would take for 2 chemicals to cover a black x on a paper which took 53 seconds and by adding a catalyst we thought it would speed up the reaction

HUMAN RIGHTS

 The Holocaust

 

The Holocaust/Auschwitz was an event during World War 2 which  opened in 1940. This was one of the largest concentration and death campaigns… Within these campaigns Jewish civilians were captured and killed throughout these Concentration camps.

This Nazi campaign was made by Adolf Hitler to kill Jewish people around Europe because they where not “pure” towards the German Empire. Up to 2 million of the population were children or  civilians that were Jewish, mentally, physically disabled and young teenagers such as you and I.

During the World War 2 in 1945 a Soviet Army approached the Holocaust Correction camps in order to try and save civilians.  The Nazi officials ordered for the camp to be abandoned and fled with 60,000 other prisoners to different location’s in a forced march… When the Soviets entered Auschwitz all they found were dead corpses of civilians lying there left behind to rot.

In my personal opinion I think that the whole Holocaust campaign was a really bad thing towards mankind because having killed millions upon millions of innocent people because they were not pure towards Germany.  I think that people who look down upon different and innocent nationalities are in my opinion petty and are stupid because of what they do towards others. They kill others in order to be clean or because they think racism is good... What I'm telling you now is not to be mean towards other cultures or people because they aren't the same as you.  Love each other and respect one another because we are the reason we are standing upon our feet till this day.
